	Linking in with other groups	15-06-2011
	As Dawn is the Regional Forum representative and we co-ordinate the South East Regional Forum we think it is really important to link up with other organisations,to support each other, share ideas and information. Last week we had a great visit from Just advocacy in Surrey. We met to find out what we all do in our areas and what was important to all of us. We are going to be running a housing workshop in August with the group and our really looking forward to it. This is a great way for people to tell the regional forum what issues they might have and to get to know each other.

	Dawn and Barbara are the new Regional Reps for the South East	02-06-2010
	Dawn Johnson from Kent and Barbara Draper from Bracknell have been elected as the new South East Regional Forum Representatives. They will be attending their first National Forum meeting on the 8th-10th June in Telford. Dawn and Barbara are looking forward to becoming the reps and taking your views to the National Forum We would like to thank Kevin Preen from Oxford and Darren Gunn from Eastbourne for being our reps Darren for the past four years and Kevin for the past year

	South East Regional Forum of people with learning difficulties	03-03-2010
	Voice 4 Kent co-ordinates the forum. This is for people with learning difficulties from all over the South East. The Regional Forum meets to talk about issues that effect people such as health, employment, housing, transport, hate crime, self directed support and any thing else which people want to talk about. This information goes to the National Forum of people with learning difficulties and to the Regional Programme Board through our elected representatives. The information then goes to the government and helps to form policies that effect people with learning difficulties. We hold conferences and workshops and we have a planning group which meets usually every 2 months. For more information please contact our office on 01233 642726

	Kent Parenting Action Group	27-10-2009
	Gill Cross and Zoe Davies are co-ordinators for the Parenting Action Group. We have a steering group every tuesday of parents with learning difficulties. We have 6 parent trainers. We train profesionals to support parents and their children better. We run a support line between 11am and 2pm on Tuesdays.
