We do training about;

Valuing People Now – we go to day centres and speaking up groups to tell people about Valuing People Now and new laws that can affect you.

Disability Equality Duty Training – This is full day training about the new law that came out in 2005. It tells you how you can make sure that councils involve people when planning new things in the community.

 

Parenting Action Group – We go round and talk to professional and students about how they can support parents with learning difficulties better. We also visit Children’s Centres and talk to staff about how they can include and support parents better who come to their centres.

 

Leadership and Speaking up – This is about how you can become more confident to speak up for yourself and others. It is about how you can work with councils and the government better.
